1987 A new emphasis on Undesignated Giving is launched.
1988 United Methodist Women’s Campaign for Children begins.
1989 Women’s Division establishes Scarritt- Bennett Center on the grounds of the former Scarritt College in Nashville Tennessee as a multi-cultural training center.
1980s Women’s Division opposes NAFTA.
1990s Development of Green Guidance and efforts to become environmentally responsible.
1993 Phase II of Campaign for Children includes RugMark Campaign—abolishment of child labor in carpet industry.
1990s Monitoring of hate crimes and burning of black churches.
1996 Women’s Division participates in Stand for Children Day along with 300,000 others in Washington DC.
1996 Women’s Division establishes committees on National and International Ministries.
1996 Women’s Division establishes program to encourage teen, college and university women to become involved in UMW.
2000 Bible Women program renewed. Women trained to be activists for social justice, economic justice and civil rights in their own countries.
2000 National Gathering of Teen and College/University Women.
2001 Women’s Division participates in UN sponsored conference on Racism.
2003 Phase III of Campaign For Children— Emphasis on Public Education.
2003 Women’s Division launches “Rekindle The Gift” a leadership development program focused to district and potential leaders.
